The Permanent

The Permanent is one of Vancouver's most striking event spaces — a repurposed bank building in Downtown with a stained glass dome, original vault, and vintage bar that stops people in their tracks the moment they arrive. It holds up to 250 standing, 130 seated, and manages to feel both grand and intimate depending on how you use it.

Best suited for: Galas, fundraisers, annual awards evenings, and client-facing events where first impressions matter. The architecture does the heavy lifting on atmosphere — you don't need to spend much on décor.

KindCo's take: The Permanent works best when the event honours the space — a reception-style flow, good lighting, and programming that gives people time to take it all in. We'd keep the format loose enough for conversation but structured enough that people actually connect.
